Brittney's Journey Continues
Donation protected
Our dearest Brittney was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Osteosarcoma at 26 years of age. The Canadian Doctors say it’s terminal and the chemo they have offered her will only prolong her life, temporarily. Our warrior was able to overcome the tumour in her jaw bone back in 2014 thanks to a rigorous chemotherapy regime along with surgery to reconstruct her jaw (and many alternative therapies alongside). Sadly, some rogue cells got away in her blood and the cancer has since returned in her lungs and her pelvis. We are not accepting the Canadian Doctor’s predictions. Brittney is a fighter and she will continue to fight. Brittney will be travelling back and forth to a clinic, in Tijuana Mexico, several times in the next year and once a year thereafter. It’s called Oasis of Hope. They offer alternative therapies in conjunction with conventional medicine. Basically, Brittney is able to take the exact same type of chemo that the Canadian Doctors are prescribing to prolong her life, at a low dosage, alongside a wide array of alternative therapies that have demonstrated success in clinical trials. In addition, the protocol includes organic vegetarian meals, accommodations for both Brittney and a companion, spiritual healing support, breathing and movement classes, and education on anti-cancer living. This is the oldest clinic of its kind in Mexico and they have been keeping data on their patients for over 50 years. In fact, their data shows that their success rates with Stage IV cancers are 3X greater than the US national averages. We are grateful to have found a place where allopathic doctors work with naturopathic doctors. As many of you know, they don’t cooperate well in Canada.
This treatment comes with a cost, and it’s more than initially predicted. Brittney has a rare and aggressive form of cancer, and therefore, the doctors recommend that she returns to the clinic several times this year. For this first round, the subsequent rounds and the medication and supplements that she will have to continue at home, we have calculated approximately $100,000.
If you feel the call to help, no amount is too small and anything you offer is greatly appreciated by Brittney and her supporters. Thank you.
