Help Claus & Kurt w./ Medical Bills

To those in the goth/industrial scene, the name Claus Larsen needs no introduction. Since 1989, Claus has unleashed an impressively prolific discography as Leaether Strip, Klutae, and many other projects.  And now Claus needs our help.

As many of you may know, Claus and his husband Kurt have been having a rough time of it over the past year. Kurt is in need of kidney replacement surgery, among others, which keeps getting postponed due to quirks of the Danish healthcare system. In the meantime, they are facing the significant cost of dialysis treatments for Kurt to keep him healthy until the transplant can happen. (Claus is happily a match for Kurt and will be donating a kidney). There are likely to be more bills with the follow-up treatments for Kurt.

So, we've decided to give people several options to help Claus and Kurt in their time of need.

• The first is this GoFundMe campaign. Give whatever you are able to. Even small donations help!

• The second is, you can buy some music directly from the Leaether Strip Bandcamp website. There's dozens and dozens of great releases spanning the band's entire career and all proceeds go direct to Kurt's medical care: https://leaetherstrip.bandcamp.com

• And finally, myself and Michelle Molitor are in the process of setting up benefit shows all across the United States with all proceeds going to Claus and Kurt.
