Help De Anda Law Reunite Families

Donate to support the legal battle to reunite refugee families!
Thousands of children have been taken from their parents by the United States government and placed in detention. We are working to end this nightmare and reunite families.
Funds are urgently needed to pay for bond, travel, and other emergency expenses for those impacted by the family separation crisis. Our office does not turn any asylum case down. All refugees seeking assistance are either provided representation by our office or referred to other asylum attorneys. We are providing legal services pro-bono.
De Anda Law Firm is a legal team currently handling an influx of cases related to the Trump administration's “zero tolerance” policy that has created the family separation crisis. We are working to obtain the release of refugee women from ICE detention and reunite them with their separated children seized by the government.

WHAT WE DO
We are supporting families in the following ways:
WE FIND THE CHILDREN
Our clients and their children are being scattered across the country. We find and follow the children and their mothers wherever they are taken, visit and consult with them as their lawyers, and provide them with a link to each other while in government detention.
WE GIVE VOICE TO THE PARENTS
We identify, contact, defend and uplift the voice of refugee women jailed in the 8 detention facilities along the lower Texas border that we service.
WE SET BOND
We work to have bond set on our clients, and secure the funds to obtain their release.
WE FUND EMERGENCY FAMILY EXPENSES
We support family members in traveling the country to make contact with their children in government hans, and provide travel and emergency living expenses for family members released from detention.
WE REUNITE FAMILIES
We reunite our client mothers with their children.
HOW FUNDS WILL BE USED
Our legal services are provided pro-bono to families impacted by this crisis. Donated funds will be used in the following ways:
PAY FOR BOND
We are raising funds to cover the bonds that are set for the release of our refugee clients.
TRAVEL EXPENSES
We fund the traveling expenses of US-based family members visiting detained children, and provide travel expenses for detained mothers and children upon release.
LIVING EXPENSES
We fund emergency food, clothing and other living expenses for refugee women, their children, and other asylum seekers.
WHO WE ARE
We are a team of lawyers dedicated to providing our time and expertise to women ensnared by an inhumane system of border control. We work pro-bono representing Central American refugee families fleeing violence and other threats in their home countries who are seeking asylum. Our clients are refugee women arrested by ICE along the lower Texas border. We intervene to prevent our clients' immediate deportation, free them and their children from government detention, reunify their families, and represent the refugees in court in support of their petitions for asylum. Our clients are almost exclusively women, many of whom are suffering from the forced separation of their children. We are dedicated to upholding their rights and dignity under our asylum laws, and to helping them stay in the United States as permanent residents.
