RAMADAN FOOD DRIVE

Madinah Food Pantry, Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to serving the needs of our local families in need. We are a 100% mobile food pantry delivering food packages to families as needed.

We are getting an increasing number of requests from our local seniors and homeless Muslims over the past few years. Many of our local seniors are on highly restrictive diets, so they can only eat specific types of foods which we do not receive through regular food donations (sugar free and salt free foods, gluten free foods, protein shakes and other types of foods). There is also more homeless Muslim families we have been working with (those in extended stay motels, living with others temporarily, or in shelters) who need food and in this case food that doesn't require much or any cooking at all (microwaveable foods, pre-cooked foods, lunch meats, fresh produce, etc.....) We also have families each month in crisis situations needing food for any number of reasons (they didn't get food stamps or were cut off from food stamps, someone who is sick and unable to cook or a death in the family, etc.....)

Our goal is to raise more funds to continue so that we can continue to purchase these foods for the many families that call us needing food. While many of us are very fortunate to be able to eat three meals per day, or even two meals per day, many of the families we serve go some days with only one meal or no meals.
