Help for victims of New Years Fire in Dorchester
Donation protected
In the early morning on New Year's Day, less than an hour after the ball dropped, the Johnson family and the residents of 34 Ridgewood Street in Dorchester went through a terrible tragedy when a fire broke out in their home. Fire ripped through the families triple decker, displacing the 11 people who lived there. The residents were able to be safely evacuated, but won't be able to live in their homes for a while as the fire caused some $400,000 in damages.
Many members of the community have expressed wanting to donate or help in some way. If this is the avenue you choose to help, the family thanks you all for the outpouring of love and compassion during this tragic time.
