Help form The Church of Gay!

I'm raising money to pay for the filing fees to form the Church of Gay. The Church of Gay is new religion predicated on the principles of equality, fairness, and individual liberty which ought to be celebrated in all aspects of life. It is a religion that is as much about self actualization as it is about kindness towards others. The Church of Gay welcomes all members who are themselves willing to be open minded and accepting of all walks of life.

It is the mission of the Church to help LGBTQ youth who are homeless or struggling to survive on their own. It is also the mission of the Church to provide assistance to areas torn apart by disasters such as Puerto Rico. Our focus goes beyond helping only LGBTQ people, but our primary concern is improving the lives of LGBTQ people in the United States, particularly the poorest of us. 

Most importantly, it is the mission of the Church to combat the use of religion to justify discrimination against members of the LGBTQ community. By codifying our beliefs in equality we give constitutional protections to LGBTQ people and we chip away at the use of religion as a tool of oppression of women and LGBTQ individuals. It is our hope that someday kindness and compassion will be a universal value and hatred will be erased from all religious institutions. We aim to get there one member at a time.
