Beloved Yankee Cafe Destroyed by Fire
Donation protected
I am starting this Go Fund me on behalf of our good friends Doug and Steve from the Yankee Cafe Henley Beach.
Over the past five years they have put their heart and soul into building this amazing little cafe that has been loved by locals and people afar - you only have to look at their facebook page to see just how loved they are
It was just last week they announced the news that they had sold their beloved cafe and would be heading off to build a new life (and home) in New Zealand when they received the devastating news.
On Wed 5th December their Yankee Cafe was completely destroyed by a fire (this was 11 days before they were to handover to the new owners!) and they discovered that their insurance doesn't even start to cover the extensive damage done or their lost income. So not only have they lost the sale and their cafe but their dream of getting to New Zealand is in jeopardy.
Many people have been asking how they can help and honestly at this stage the best help Doug and Steve can receive would be funds to help get them back on their feet and on their way to realizing their dream in NZ. They have also asked that everyone please support their neighbouring businesses Fry’s Meats, Bakers of Henley and Barber Boys who have all had to close temporarily due to lack of power and water.
Any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated.
Please help get the word out by sharing this link to your facebook/Instagram.
Thank you all for reading, donating amd sharing.
