Help get Kenny & his dog a home
Donation protected
I strongly believe in extending kindness to strangers and helping where I can. It provides me with happiness and a warm feeling. Even small acts of kindness can go a long way; but many people acting together can accomplish even more.
I am therefore asking all of you to please consider donating even a small amount to help a young man and his dog get off the streets and to find a home.
Kenny is a very smart and polite man, but he has unfortunately fallen upon hard times and has lived on the street for a few years now. Kenny is a good man who does not drink alcohol, and only wishes to better his life. For over a year now I have provided him with clothes, food, and money, but I have limited resources. My wish for him this Christmas is to obtain enough funds to find him a small apartment and to get him set up and established enough to live a normal life on his own.
I am now reaching out to you to see if you can assist him before the harsh winter months are upon us. The next time that you are cursing the cold wind while you brush the snow off your car, imagine having to deal with that weather 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Last week I took just half a day’s pay and used it to improve Kenny’s life. That was enough money to buy him dinner, and to get him much needed warm clothing. As you can see in the photo, he didn’t have any socks, and his shoes were full of holes and made of plastic. He now has many pairs of socks, t-shirts, hoodies, and track pants to wear. We got food & water for his dog, and a warm vest to help keep him warm. I was also fortunate enough to find Kenny a used pair of winter boots and a winter parka.
Kenny was totally awestruck and overwhelmed. When I saw him the next day, he told me that he has no words to express how grateful he is. He then said, “I feel like a new person today. I feel human again!”
Any amount collected will definitely help them through the winter, but if I can reach my goal, hopefully we can put an end to their life on the streets and we can provide them with a new start and a new hope in life.
