Help Jeffrey Fight Lymphoma!
This GoFundMe is for our youngest brother, Jeffrey Julian, who was recently diagnosed with Stage IV B-Cell Lymphoma at the age of 21.
[BACKSTORY]
Jeffrey was seen in the ER for pain, fatigue, shortness of breath, high fevers, night sweats, and muscle spasms in late March. He has undergone multiple blood draws, ultrasounds, biopsies, and CT/MRI/PET scans prior to being informed of his final diagnosis. Reports showed metastasis: lesions to his spine and ribs as well a 15 centimeter tumor in his chest and a tumor in his pelvis. In early April, Jeffrey was brought to the ER for pneumonia and to closely monitor his heart (which averaged 150-170 BPM).
Our brother has lost nearly 40 lbs since he was first admitted to the ER and often finds it hard to stand or walk for long periods of time. His cancer is aggressive and has made some of the simple everyday tasks (such as eating, sitting, or sleeping) difficult. To reduce the tumors in his chest and pelvis, he has scheduled radiation therapy and recently completed his first cycle of chemo with more to follow in the next 6 to 8 months.
Our goal is to raise $20k to help cover medical fees that we and his insurance are unable to cover, especially with our mom currently on disability. Jeffrey's first set of medical bills have already reached over $100k and his health insurance can only cover so much. Your help will also cover travel to bring Jeffrey to/from the cancer center for his check ups and radiation/chemo therapy (which is an hour away from our home), out-of-pocket medication fees, meals, and other expenses while we fight this together.
