Help Jeremy & Buddy find a home!

Down and Out in DL. Jeremy Scott and his faithful companion, Buddy, the dog have been homeless in Detroit Lakes for the better part of 3 months. Along the way, they have found shelter under bridges and along roadways. Jeremy is disabled and unable to work. He is unable to collect disability income until he had an address for checks to be mailed. Jeremy also needs an ID to collect disability checks and receive help from assistance programs but can not until he has an address.
Jeremy has medical issues that are getting worse as he continues to remain homeless. He is losing his eyesight and has shattered cheekbones and eye sockets-all due to his homelessness.
Jeremy & Buddy are unaware of when their next meal will be, how they will stay warm and dry, and where they will be sleeping each night.
Jermey is on a housing waitlist here in Becker County and also seeking other assistance programs but in the meantime, remain homeless each night.
The funding received on this page will be used to assist the duo in finding short term/long term housing until housing assistance can be established, meals, health care, dog food, minutes for cell phones, transportation and anything else they need.
The people of Detroit Lakes have been searching for a way to help Jeremy and Buddy via Facebook posts with local business owner Georgia Nagel, The Pet Sitter, who originally met with Jeremy after finding he had a dog. Georgia has been seeking and collecting clothing items, dog food and gift cards for Jeremy & Buddy until a gofundme page could be set up.
If you are so moved to help, you may do so by donating on this page or contacting Georgia Nagel with gift cards. Larger items and items in bulk are hard for Jeremy to move around with daily until they are in housing.
Blessings and a grateful heart for the caring people of Detroit Lakes that are finding ways to help Jeremy and Buddy out in this time of need. We appreciate you more than ever!
