Help Laura get her service dog.

This is Laura.
We have decided to get Laura a Service Dog. Laura faces a number of challenges throughout her daily life. She has Cerebral Palsy, an Intellectual Disability, and a receptive language disorder. This makes it difficult to understand things that are happening around her, getting involved in groups, maintaining those interactions, and regulating her emotions.
The training she has undertaken so far includes showing Laura how to ask the dog to sit, drop, stay, etc. Going into shops as a part of ‘Lifestyle training’, and 1st aid care for her dog.
Laura has worked with number of dog breeds while the team from “The Centre for Service and Therapy Dogs Australia” (Dogs for Life) work out the best dog breed to suit Laura’s individual, and our family needs.
The funds received will go towards the cost of this 2 year program which is $30,000. These dogs are very highly trained and hold a very precious place in their owners lives. The dog will help Laura feel more comfortable to engage with other people when out and about, improve self-confidence, help regulate her emotions at home and in public and decrease the isolation that comes with her disbilities (among other goals).
We have had to start making payments already so any donations that we might receive will be greatly appreciated.
Through the training we have already had, I have been overwhelmed by the joy I have seen in Laura and the way that she has been able to apply her skills to successfully work with dogs as young as 5 months old. This is a truly amazing program that I am so happy to be involved in.
Thank you in advance.
