Help Matt and Manda with IVF - Round 2!
Donation protected
My brother Matt and sister-in-law Amanda are two of the kindest and most loving people I know. They have struggled with infertility for years and have quietly spent much of their savings in hopes to have a child of their own. I cannot think of two people who would make better parents.
After treatments, surgery, and unsuccessful transfer of embryos, on January 15, 2018, they were overjoyed to find out they were pregnant with their last remaining frozen embryo. Their excitement was contagious! It was so lovely to watch Amanda grow big, big, and bigger with baby and hear her talk about their little girl, and to watch Matt become more nervous about being a dad as the birth neared. There was so much love overflowing for this child from the gender reveal (where I made a fool of myself after learning I was going to finally have a niece) to baby showers... we were all ready to meet baby girl!
Then, the unthinkable happened. Baby Stella passed away in her Mommy’s womb on her due date in September 2018. She was born the following day, a perfect and beautiful little angel. On their 7th wedding anniversary, Matt and Amanda brought us to the church where they were married to celebrate the blessing of her short life and bury their daughter. I will never forget the sight of the funeral director holding an umbrella over her tiny coffin as we left her grave site in the rain...
The pain of her loss tore our hearts apart and watching Matt and Amanda grieve and ache for Stella has been something indescribable.
Matt and Amanda have come to the decision to try in vitro fertilization one more time in hopes of having another child, a sibling for Stella. They are proceeding with another round of IVF this summer. This is a large financial burden and, as we have been helpless to do anything for them in recent months, I am setting up this GoFundMe to support them. Please donate in any amount if you would like and are able to.
I dare say you won’t be disappointed; they made an adorable chubby-faced baby once so let's help them make another!
