Tyrell Villania-Small

My name is Tyrell. I am 16 and have been running competitively for just over a year. I am Australian but of Filipino and South African heritage. I have been running since 2014 but only started racing competitively in 2016 when I ran my first 400 at State (NSW Championship). I have since made the NSW team to compete at Nationals 2 years in a row, which has not only been an incredible experience but also hitting major track goals of mine.

Whilst I still have a fair way to go, I am on the right track (pun intended!) I have 5 training sessions a week, includes specialised gym work. I love my coach and his dedication towards all our goals mean we train regardless of the weather, or even if it's a public holiday. My times are improving consistently and just earlier this month I made the Australian Team for the Oceania Championships. What an honour! I always dreamed of representing Australia! I will be running in the U18 400m event, and probably the 4 x 400 relay (although not yet confirmed)

This is where you come in because I need all the help I can to keep moving towards my goals. I am raising money to help get me to Oceania, and beyond (I am also in the process of applying for track scholarships overseas so money will also be used towards that (sit S.A,T exams, Clearing House fees and application fees).

The Oceania Championships will be held in Fiji from June 28- July 2. I must stay in the Athlete Village from June 26 with the rest of the Australian team, along with the other countries/competitors. I must fund this, along with the airfare, on my own.

Any amount, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
