Help Michael Olorode with university

Donation protected
Hey,

I recently read this article (Guardian article link)  about a fourth year biomedical student called Micheal Olorode who has had to fund his way through university without a loan, working night shifts until 8am and starting university at 9am.

This truly impressive, showing his resilience and dedication, not only for his education but for his future as well! Based on the article, he is paying for both his accommodation and living expenses unassisted with no maintenance loan or grant which just falls short of £1000 a month,  it would be really good if we could meet it and lessen his burden.

I've been asked by Go Fund Me to provide some more info on this to ensure that all the funds go to the right people:

I've made contact with Micheal, he is aware of the campaign and how the funds will be directly delivered to him. If there is any further assistance you can offer (advise, mentorship etc)., please get in touch and I will provide you with his direct email address.

This story is extremely touching and I wanted to help! This situation raises so many questions:

- Why does the Home Office continue to fail some of our most hard working citizens?
- Where are the safeguards to help students from low-income, under-represented university backgrounds?

It would be good if we could lend a helping hand where possible, no donation is too small.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, if you have any questions for myself, please contact us on Twitter @Lateefsaka @nisi_can @Titilayo__
