Help Ms. Bee stay in her home

Help us pay off Ms. Bee's property tax bill and keep her in her home of 55 years!
Annie Bee (age 87) & Verdell Bee (her son, age 63) have lived at 150 Warren St NE since 1964. Both are experiencing medical challenges (Ms. Bee is homebound) and they live solely on their Social Security and disability benefits. While her property taxes are greatly reduced due to exemptions for low-income elderly, the remaining 2018 balance is beyond her means and past due. She has relied on her church in past years but they are facing their own struggles and unable to assist now. She came to me (her neighbor) in desperation and out of ideas. My hope is that Kirkwood can come together to honor and support our vulnerable elderly neighbors like Ms. Bee.
Our goal for Ms. Bee is $2500: $1168.66 to pay off the 2018 past-due bill by May 15th, and the remainder to plan ahead to cover next year's bill.
Too many low-income seniors are getting displaced by rising taxes across this city - here is a chance to help a neighbor right here in our community. In the words of Ms. Bee: "thank you for helping a neighbor and bless you all".
*Any amount collected over the target will be spent directly to assist the Bees with any other critical needs.*
