Being a teacher, I have the pleasure of being around, not only amazing students, but amazing parents. One such parent, a single mom of two boys, was recently evicted and lost her job. I have her son in class and she is such an incredible woman, and I am hoping that this money will help her and her two sons find and afford a temporary place to rent. They are currently staying with a friend and I'm hoping that we can help them get a place within the month. Also, being a teacher, I am optimistic and hopeful that compassion and kindness will prevail, and I try to practice what I preach to my students.
