Help Nala Walk Again

As many of you may know, Nala is one of the sweetest, most energetic dogs in the world. Recently, and we are unaware how it really happened, Nala started acting different.
She woke up on Friday with very little energy and unable to jump off the bed. She was low energy, but went through her daily routine as usual. On Saturday, she seemed to have a stiff neck and needed help getting down from the bed and couch, so she stayed in her dog bed most of the day. By Sunday, she was unable to stand up on her own. Her front paws kept buckling beneath her weight. Her back legs were fine, but she was unable to put any weight on her front legs, which meant she could not even walk.
We tried taking her to Banfield, but they could not see her until 6 hours later. We had to go to an Emergency Clinic, where they charged a fee of $115 just to see her. Everywhere we went, I had to carry her. At first we thought she may have injured herself in the middle of the night and had a pinched nerve. As soon as the doctor saw her, she knew whatever was wrong that it was serious.
The doctor referred us to a neurologist because she felt the issue was related to her spine. Before we could go, she suggested they keep Nala overnight to give her fluids and let her rest. The bill that day was almost $1,000. That included medication, an IV, and other things required to keep her comfortable due to the fact that she was in constant pain. Everyone at the hospital loved Nala because even though she could not move very much, she was still wagging her tail and licking anyone who came close to her.
On Monday morning, we picked her up from the hospital and took her to the neurologist. She had a lot more energy than the day before, but every time she tried to get up she would fall since her front paws could not support her. Every time a nurse came to see her, she would try to get up and would start wagging her tail. I had to hold her up so she could greet everyone that came in.
The doctor then told us that because it could be very serious and he could not tell what the issue was, that he needed to do an MRI. In order to do the MRI, and even reserve a spot for a potential surgery, I had to put down a deposit of $4000. The MRI itself cost about $3400, but it was the only way that we could see what was wrong.
Ultimately, the doctor said that she has a slipped disc. In order to fix it, she is going to have surgery, which would bring the total of her medical expenditure to about $9000. That ncludes anesthesia, supplies, her stay at the neurological center, and hopefully, some of her recovery as well.
Please help me in any way you can to ensure that I can afford this surgery. As a teacher, I do not make very much money and I don't have the luxury of making exra money working the extra hours I already work. This situation came out of nowhere. It all changed so fast and in just 3 days she got worse so quickly.
Nala has been my partner in crime for over 8 years. She was with me for both of my graduations, helped me navigate life away from home, and was there for me through some challenging situations. Please consider donating anything you can to help her. Without this surgery, she will not have very much quality of life.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Even if you cannot donate, please share our story and help Nala walk again.
