Help out Cool Cats Rescue

Hey  everyone! Welcome to my fundraiser for my Cat Rescue! 

About me: My name is Pamela, and I have always dreamed of having my own animal rescue. Since I was a small child I have always loved animals. I have always felt a special connection especially with cats and have always felt the desire to help them out. Well, to be honest, I have a bleeding heart and want to help everyone and everything that needs it.  I grew up in Central Square, NY where I graduated from high school in 2007. I’m also a married mother of 2 (so huge thank you to my family for putting up with my crazy cat love shenanigans).

About my Rescue: I finally decided this past summer to go for my dream of having an animal rescue. I did a lot of planning and research as well as lots of dreaming. After much dreaming and planning, I finally took in my first fosters in the beginning of November 2017. The cats in my care receive testing for feline leukemia and fiv. They also get their vaccines and get spayed/neutered before being sent to their forever homes. This is obviously very costly for me.

My vision: While my main goal is to help the cats in my care, my vision goes beyond that. I want to make sure these cats get the highest standard of living while in my care. This is why I eventually want to make this Rescue into a cat cafe and rescue. This way people can come and actually bond with the cats in a comfortable environment for both the human and cat. I feel that this will lead to higher rates of adoption. Eventually I want the cafe to fully support the rescue in such a way that my adoption fees can be next to nothing, if not non existent (for those who pass a rigorous application process, of course). Doesn’t the name Cool Cats Cafe & Rescue have a ring to it? I think so.

All that being said, my biggest obstacle right now is money. Isn’t it always about money? Of course it is! So I am looking for donations. I am in need of money for litter, food, toys, vet care, etc. So I am hoping to raise $500 to help offset the costs of fostering these babies until they find their forever homes. This also helps me keep adoption fees down and makes it more likely I can find the kitties their forever homes in a timely manner. Any little bit helps.
