Help Paul Alexander-Polio Survivor
Donation protected
This is Paul, a polio survivor, a man whose lived essentially his entire life on a machine that ventilates for him because his body can not due so. Take a good long look at what effects this disease can have on an individual and then think of the quality of life associated with it. Paul created everything that he has by being an outstanding individual and using his mind to create pathways for himself, but that doesn't change the fact that Paul will never get the option to live how we live. He will never be able to walk, throw a football, cook a meal, have a normal relationship, or any of the things that we take for granted everyday because of his condition.
Paul is now in his 70's and relys on disability and that doesn't make ends meet. He needs help to do anything from eating, bathing, any daily acts of life. Attendants are very expensive. His iron lung needs repairs that are very expensive because they do not make parts for them anymore. Any parts have to be made for it in Order to keep his iron lung working. Without it he would die. Any help you can give would be so very much appreciated.
