Help Paul and Cheryl

Our charming, wise and talented friend Chef Paul Parker has just begun cancer treatments at Glens Falls Hospital. He has tongue cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes in his neck. We’re gratified to know that his prognosis is very good. Surgery is not the plan. However, his short-term experience of chemotherapy and radiation is expected to be — not so great. 

Paul and Cheryl are uniquely  passionate, smart and engaged people. They love nothing more than to gather people around them — to entertain, whether it be a restaurant full of satisfied patrons who are likely to become friends (if you’re reading this, you may well be in that category), or a houseful of guests they’ve invited for an extemporaneous Sunday night dinner — vagabonds and stray cats welcome! Their restaurants have been so much more than just a place to dine out. Paul and Cheryl are the best at building a uniquely warm community around the pleasures of excellent food, good drink, entertaining stories, music and song in a welcoming setting. 

Now, they could use some community themselves, to help overcome this daunting adversary, cancer.

Paul will likely be out of work for several weeks at least as he deals with the side effects of his treatment. They have insurance, but the expected co-pays, deductibles, related medical expenses and non-medical side costs are, frankly, scary.
