Help P.A.Z. maker space exist

Donation protected
Portland Autonomous Zone formed in Jan. 2013 and is a member supported space with focus on bike fun, and DIY sub-culture. We have a full bicycle repair work area, electronics bench, 4 sewing machines, recording studio, social space, and arts and crafts supplies. Our vision is similar to that of a Eagles Lodge, but for makers with focus on DIY tinkering and bikes. We’re not a for-profit business, or a live space: PAZ is a member-supported space, run by members. We can come and go as we please, at any hour, to turn on the air compressor, hammer, or just listen to your music while you get bike crafty. Our space also has a shower, kitchenette, and 2 bathrooms at a close-in and convenient location.

In the past 2 years we have lost a number of members due to rising rents in PDX, and have been struggling to simply not fall into debt.   We provide support to surrounding community,  and frequently opening space to people for small projects that don't have access to tools.   We have hosted a number of benefits and free events, which benefit people outside of space.   We have been doing every Weds crafty socials for 4 years now, which would be great to have funding to get more art supplies.

But right now, we really need funding to exist as we have fallen $2500 in debt so far this year, after losing a number of members due to rising cost of living in Portland.
