Born in Gorkha in the lap of Mt. Manaslu, Nepali photojournalist Purnima Shrestha became fascinated by mountaineering through her travels across Nepal doing photojournalism, and successfully climbed Manaslu in 2017. Then, this year Purnima successfully stood on the summit of Mt. Everest on 2018-05-19 at 8:10 am, and is now back in KTM.
Her hard work has not finished just yet!
The funds raised through this campaign by friends of Nepal Seattle Society, the Mountaineers, and Seattle/US will go towards her cervical cancer promotion efforts in collaboration with the Karuna Foundation Nepal and Female Cancer Foundation Holland.
Thank you so much for helping Purnima Shrestha raise awareness among Nepali women and families to get cervical cancer screening!
