Who am I and where I am from : My name is Flemion Shafeeq and I am originally from kerala India. Currently I am working as a software engineer in Tallahassee.Florida Usa.

Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for : This funding is being set up to help few families whom I know first hand who got affected and lost their homes to the flood. Specifically these are my relatives on my wife's mother's side. Her uncles ,aunts and their families on her mother's side.

How the funds will be spent: The funds will be used to reconstruct the house. Make the home re habitable with at least 2 rooms functioning.

Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies : The plan is to withdraw the collected amount by me and to deposit directly to Mr Dilip Issac bank account in india, who is the beneficiary of this fund and the head of the family. The pictures of the collapsed house is shown above. Mr Dilip is the bread winner for the above destroyed home.

The Story
The rains in the state of Kerala, India were non-relenting, 13 out of 14 districts in the state are under red alert. The rains haven't ceased and are continuously pouring for the last four days. Around 80 dams and reservoirs in the state are opened because of overcapacity limit, coupled with this the water from the mountains is also impacting the area. Flooding /Landslides is rampant, and many people have lost their lives, and property. Roughly 350 people lost their lives, 800+ people missing, 1000 of homes destroyed and around 800000 people are in shelters.
This funding is being set up to help few families whom I know first hand who got affected and lost their homes to the flood. 
As soon as the water started filling the house, people escaped from this home in peringavu, Thrissur district in Kerala. These are my relatives on my wife's mothers side.  Already around ten people live in that house, and we have visited them in the past during vacations and help them as much as we can. These are people who are not financially sound and struggle to make their ends meet. Roughly 150$ is their income for the family per month. Children are school going in elementary grades. Luckily they had escaped before the home collapsed, but they have lost their property and whatever little they had.
The intention is to raise some fund to build them at least two rooms in the property, after removing the collapsed structure. Drinking water is through well, and that needs to be cleaned and restored too. The situation is pathetic and government help if it eventually reaches would be meager and will not help in any regards. I ardently request all to contribute any small amounts as much as you can to help this family back into the livelihood. The construction cost currently in India is skyrocketed, and it's tough for a family to support unless they are financially sound suddenly. This house was more than 50 years of age and was built when the materials and cost were cheaply available. Situations have changed now, and the cost has increased. Please help.
