Help repatriate Silvia to Zimbabwe
On Tuesday 12th February 2019, Silvia Mafuta left her home in Walsall to go to work for a night shift caring for an elderly person. When the morning relief arrived on Wednesday 13th, Silvia was found collapsed and unresponsive. The emergency services were called and Silvia was pronounced deceased on arrival at the hospital. Silvia was 36 years old and survived by 3 children: 2 daughters aged 14 and 12 and a son aged 6. She was divorced and in addition to parenting her 3 children, she was also the breadwinner for family back home in Zimbabwe. My wife and I have been friends with Silvia and her family since around 2006 when she lived in Glasgow. We are appealing for funds to help repatriate the body of Silvia back to Zimbabwe so her parents and siblings can say goodbye and get closure by conducting the burial their late daughter deserves. Quotations for the repatriation are in the region of £3,000 and this is the primary amount we are trying to raise. If any monies over this figure are raised, these will go towards other funeral costs and towards helping the surviving family.
