Help Rescued Kenyan Students

I cannot believe what I witness everyday at Assumption High School in Nairobi, Kenya. These poor boys and girls, without shoes and good clothing, walk from neighboring slums, including Kibera. They seek not only education but access to medication and nutrition. 

Assumption High School is a charitable co-ed high school that helps the less fortunate and at-risk students from poor predicaments in the surbubs of Nairobi. Though education is key, students currently take their meals while standing, as we are in the process of building a dining hall which will provide shelter from rain and the elements as well as provide a clean and safe space to enjoy their meals. 

A dining hall is just one of the many needs at Assumption High School. Students additionally lack  access to fresh water, consistent meals, as well as health services.  The majority of these students cannot afford to pay tuition, however, we encourage them to attend school regardless of financial ability.  As a young missionary of the Augustinians of the Assumption in Kenya, I hope to reach our goal of building and finishing this dining hall in order to empower our students through education, fellowship, and service by reaching out to the greater international community.
