Help Save Harry Nanya Tours

Donation protected
Hi my name is Graham Clarke

I am a Paakantji man from western New South Wales region. My traditional land is the World Heritage Mungo National Park. I spent half my life establishing a global brand tour company called Harry Nanya Tours. A lot of hard work for my people to benefit and for their well being. It was not to be, as government departments went into direct competition against my business using taxpayers’ monies and going against all the principles of self determination.

I could not compete and had to lay off our staff who were a part of building the company. I raised a lot of issues with many government departments regarding my issues. Not one of the government departments could resolve the issues I raised. They said it was not their jurisdiction but it was in their code of ethics and their policies. They all passed the buck. Still today after six years of fighting for my rights, I have not got any response from these departments as they have never resolved any of the issues I brought forth.

They were destroying my business and because of the financial losses we were put into debt by them. This creates problems within business partnerships, because after years of fighting this corrupt system it affects your health and mental stability. I got to the point where I nearly committed suicide on Sunday the 23rd of April 2017.
My health is not well and my drive has declined dramatically. The younger generation needs to take over the company and implement their ideas for the future of our children.

This is the best way forward and I am pleased to say that there are 2 young individuals with a wealth of experience whom I have on board to begin working towards these new goals. These two people are my niece Elisha Mangal, and her partner Corey Payne. As mentioned both have extensive experience and qualifications in working within many different fields, especially working with our people.

Currently the business has hit hard times. Due to competition from governing bodies Harry Nanya Tours is currently facing many financial burdens that our GoFundMe campaign will address. The remainder of the GoFundMe campaign will be used to establish new beginnings and see the younger generation come through to take Harry Nanya Tours to new heights. It is our plan to continue with tours but also incorporate new ideas, for example healing programs, localised cultural packages, and other ideas all of which will in turn generate employment for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people of our region.

Please view the attached links to my story which outline my plight.
