Following symptoms of visual impairment in 2013, Osinachi Charles Maduakor visited an Optometrist for treatment. After series of tests, he got prescriptions for drugs and eye glasses. He started complying immediately with the recommended prescriptions. However, rather than improving, the situation worsened over time. This led to subjecting him to further medical tests and scrutiny which outcome revealed presence of tumour in the brain. Recommended corrective action from Medical experts is to perform surgery as soon as possible.
Osinachi has been scheduled for surgery at Memfys hospital for Neurosurgery, Enugu but requires a total sum of N6,500,000.00 (Six million, five hundred thousand naira only) [approximately $18,500] for this surgery. An initial deposit of N2,500,000.00 (Two million, five hundred thousand naira only) [approximately $7,000] out of the total bill is required to confirm the scheduled surgery appointment.
Osinachi has been financially exhausted following the high cost incurred for the initial series of tests/treatment and the impact of the ailment on his farming business. As such, he is unable to meet up with the financial demands for the surgery.
