the Orca whales in captvity
Donation protected
My name is Alexis Kooyman and I'm a senior at St. Helens high school. I've been doing a research paper on the horrors that happen to the whales in sea world, and other marine wildlife parks in other countries. In captivity, Orca whales are kept in tanks that are 350 feet across, they live until they are about 17-29 years old, and they are often separated from their mothers after about 6-7 years. In the wild whales travel about 100 miles per day (that's 528,000 feet per day!), their average life span is 50-70 years and they stay with their entire families their entire lives. For my senior project I'm going to be raising money for WDC ( Whales and Dolphin Conservation ) a non profit charity dedicated to the protection of whales and dolphins. They will use this money for school visits to educate children on how to keep our oceans clean & care for our planet and to raise awareness about whaling and captivity. My goal is to raise $150 by the end of May! Whales have a part of their brain that humans don't even have specifically for their emotions. Please take that into consideration & donate to someone who would like to make a change in the lives and future of the killer whales!
