Help Set Marker for Covington Hall
Donation protected
William Covington Hall--writer, poet, union organizer, member of the Industrial Workers of the World--died in obscurity in 1952 after a lifetime of devoting himself to the cause of working people.
He is buried in the Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans, but no mention nor marker commemorating him has ever been placed at the family crypt.
The management of Metairie Cemetery has graciously granted us the permission to mark Covington Hall's grave-site with a granite marker.
We seek funding for a headstone marker and installation to honor this unsung hero of American labor in the South.
