"Have YOU Seen My Banana?"... Documentary + Original Soundtrack
Orlando-based Filmmaker/Artist/Musician SKIP will begin production on his first feature-length documentary film, "Have You Seen My Banana?" This documentary centers around the unbelievable true story of SKIP's giant art installation that went missing in 2015, which became a social media sensation and won the hearts of the people in Orlando. The film will be accompanied by a film soundtrack, featuring music by SKIP and producer Swamburger, and an original score by composer, DIVINCI.
In 2015, the centerpiece of his giant banana-themed art installation, entitled “Exploita El Tercer Mundo,” went missing. In the weeks following its disappearance, Orlando press outlets like Orlando Weekly, Orlando Sentinel and Fox35 News came together to help him find it, ultimately reuniting the two during a live broadcast. Now after three years in limbo, SKIP announces an exciting final chapter of the banana story. The recently rebuilt banana installation was a competitor in the South Carolina arts competition, Art Fields 2019. This final chapter will serve as the basis for the film.
A full account of the banana story has never been told publicly before, and this SKIP-produced documentary plans to go into detail regarding the perfect storm of events surrounding the initial disappearance of the banana, and then concluding with what he hopes will be a happy ending to a truly wild ride.
This project will also demonstrate and highlight a number of creative mediums SKIP is able to use to express himself, namely film production, music, and visual arts and art installations. It also features an original soundtrack with brand new tracks by SKIP and other Second Subject members, as well as an original score by producer DIVINCI.
Pretty unbelievable, huh? Well not only does this wild rollercoaster of a story not stop there, but you won't believe what happens next!!!
