Help Smooth Transition

Donation protected
As many know on 11/29/18 Smooth Transition presented with a temp of 105.6 with leg swelling and an odd gait. He Was not in any kind of distress. 11/30/18 the vet was out and his symptoms progressed to swelling in his sheath, along his stomach and chest. Blood work showed a very low platelet count and a high SAA. After another blood pull and consulting with a vet at new Bolton, it was decided he had anaplasmosis. He was still very happy and acting his normal self except for very tight muscles and lethargic. Smooth finally showed great improvements and has now started spiking a high fever and seems to be relapsing. After consulting with my vet, we have decided this is not going the direction it should and may be at a point that he needs resources that we just don’t have which means he should Go to new bolton. Many know that Smooth is the love of my life and best friend. There is something special about him that wins over the hearts of those who meet him. He helped me through the hardest times of my life and I want nothing more than to help him through his like he deserves. Rather this ends good or bad I want him to have all the help possible for him or to at least offer new information to save someone from the same heart break. I don’t want this to be all for nothing and either would smooth. Many also know it is expensive to go to new Bolton and I don’t want to limit the help he gets because of money. He is more than worth me taking the risk and asking for help. If he does not need to go to new Bolton, I will contact each donor to arrange a refund. Thank you all in advance for even the well wishes!
