My sister was diagnosed with gastroparesis a few months ago, and since then her health has been in a steady decline. Gastroparesis, is when the muscles that move your stomach, and thus moves food through it, stop working for numerous reasons. This leads to eventual starvation if not treated. Most of the attempts to help her have been met with minimal to no success. She is a strong woman and mother of five children who tries hard to make her family happy. Very recently she was hospitalized because of Long QT Syndrome, which is a disorder of the heart beating erratically.  While hospitalized they detected, what appears, to be her kidneys failing on top of everything else. As her family we have tried to do everything we can, but love can only take her so far. We have offered what money we can to her treatments, but it isn't enough to dent the high medical bills of specialists. Thus, we came here to ask for what help can be given.  Pascal (Group Leader): I just want to save my sister. I know it's likely not possible, but it hurts to be unable to help the family that has always been there to support you. Even in the hardest of times. I want to show her that I respect and admire her for that. At the very least not leave her family with bills to pay. Update #1: We've almost made our original goal of 1,000, so we've increased it to allow people to continue donating if they wish. Really want to thank everyone who has donated money to help the cause!
