Help stop the famine in Somalia!

The UN has announced that a famine has reached parts of East Africa, the first since 2011. According to aid agencies there are unprecedented levels of hunger and food shortages.  We are a group of somali Queen Mary University students in London who are determined that there isnt a repeat of the situation in 2011 where over 260,000 people died in Somalia alone with half being children and 10% under five years old. We cannot let this happen again. The money raised will be sent to Somalia by Human Appeal who are currently running an appeal for the famine and drought in Somalia. Human appeal is an organisation over 25 years old and has helped many countries in times of crisis. The money will be used on medical services, emergency food, orphans and vulnerable families. This is such an important cause for us as Somali students living in London as we feel like there is little we can do to help. By raising money, we will be able to contribute to the global efforts in saving lives. According to the prophet (peace be upon him) "Every act of goodness is charity"(hadith 496). Please donate as much as you can, knowing that however much you give, you will help towards saving thousands of lives.
