Help Tayler Dahm Strike-out the big “C”
Cancer- it’s hard Emotionally, Physically, and Financially.
Tayler Dahm our 23-year-old nephew is about to have his 2nd surgery and undergo Chemotherapy for Stage II Cancer. Below is his story.
For those who don’t know Tayler Dahm he is a fun-loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and incredible friend! Tayler is a sportsman and sports fan! Tayler loves to play baseball, golf, basketball, wake-boarding as well as rooting for his favorite team at home on the couch! While attending El Camino College Tayler became a staff writer for the college newspaper. Writing became natural to him and soon he became a team member of the newspaper, writing for the team sports.
In May of 2016 Tayler had an opportunity to go to Chicago to work for the company “Top Tier” to coach teenage boys in baseball, an opportunity Tayler could not pass up. So, with some money in his pocket and buddies in the car he took off on a road trip across the US.
To supplement his income after baseball season, Tayler started working at a brewery/restaurant to stay in Chicago a little longer, and to take advantage of traveling the Eastern States. Scheduled to come home in May 2017, Tayler’s plans changed, staying in Chicago after he met a local girl who has become one of his teammates in his life journey. `
In August 2017, Tayler was diagnosed with stage II Cancer. Tayler’s journey now is fighting the fight with his support team, family, and friends to “Strike-Out this cancer.”
Tayler case is unique because, not 1, not 2, but 3 types of cancer were found. Tayler’s has had 1 surgery already to remove the tumor, but unfortunately the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes in the stomach region. The doctors stressed to Tayler that treatment is needed as soon as possible, to prevent anymore spreading. The doctors assured Tayler with treatment and more surgery the survival rate is in the 90% range.
Tayler has another upcoming surgery scheduled in the next few weeks, lymph-nodes will be removed from his stomach region, this surgery will require a 4 to 5 day stay in the hospital with a tougher longer recovery at home. Following surgery, Tayler will possibly need a round of Chemotherapy.
Although, this is a very emotional personal story, Tayler cannot do this alone. We are hoping to build up a great team for Tayler to help beat this cancer.
Our team is trying to raise money for Tayler, please, if you can financially help Tayler “Strike-Out Cancer” your donation would be greatly appreciated. Anything you can contribute will be helpful.
Your funds will help cover co-pays, treatments, medication, deductibles, and anything else not covered by his insurance. The expense to treat cancer can be a financial burden.
We’ll keep you updated on Tayler’s progress, and journey.
Please join our team, every little bit will help.
Feel free to share our story.
THANK YOU!
