Nook's fight with brain tumor (Pornpimon Thiprat)

UPDATE: Unfortunately on Monday  the 4th March, Nook got bad news yet again. Her results came back from the autopsy and the lump was cancerous and not all the tumour was removed due to it been attached to the tissue of the brain. She now has to get radiation done to try kill the cancerous cells. So this is why the page has been reopened because we are still trying to fly her home and start the radiation here.

We are friends of Nook and Frank who have two beautiful children. People from two different countries - Thailand and Slovakia who found their love in Ireland. 
Nook is working at Dublin Airport and is absolutely loved by everyone.
We are reaching out to you because Nook is very sick and only with your help and support we can bring peace, happiness and health back to her life. 
17 February was the happiest day of her life as Nook and Frank got married in the presence of their families and friends who flew to attend the wedding in Thailand. Thanks to modern technology anyone who could not attend was watching the beautiful moment Nook was walked down the aisle and Frank being so moved by this moment that he couldn't contain his tears. 






Shortly after the wedding Nook started feeling unwell and had to be rushed to hospital. The diagnosis is devastating - 6cm tumor on her brain. 
Nook urgently needs to be flown home to have surgery to remove tumor from her brain. 
Amazing Dublin Airport community which she is a part of started immediately supporting our beautiful and kind friend. The solidarity of people who wish to help is amazing but we need financial support as medical and travel cost could reach 20 000 euro.

IMPORTANT UPDATE 26 February

 It was not possible to fly Nook home for surgery back home to Ireland due to the fact that it was deemed to be too dangerous for her life. This afternoon Nook undergone craniatomy with tumor removal in a hospital in Bangkok. The surgery went well without complications and Nook is currently in ICU unit. She is likely to spend a total of approx 7 days in the hospital. 



This is great news as the most difficult part is behind her and we are hoping for only good news from now on.

The cost of Nook's treatment is considerably higher than 10000 euro we appealed for initially which was to cover specialized medical transport to bring Nook for surgery back home in Ireland. It is likely to exceed 600 000 Thai Baht or approx 17 000 euro.



We have decided to change the target of the campaign to reflect this change in circumstances. 
We are now hoping to raise 20 000 euro and we strongly believe with your help we can make this happen. 
I would also like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who have so far contributed to our cause. You have been fantastic and have shown a great empathy. 
Our main goal is to have Nook back with us and together we can make this happen
