Help us Relocate our Home to Big Sky Sanctuary

Help us donate our home to Big Sky Sanctuary Inc. - 'Heather's House'
A little context - We are very blessed and excited to be building a new home in 2019. In this process though, we've had to make the hard decision of what to do with our beloved 3 bedroom house that currently sits on the block. We could sell it, sure. Or demolish it at worst - but this would be such a tragic waste. We are fortunate to be in the position to make a choice.
So, here we are. We have made the decision that rather than sell or demolish our beloved home, that we would donate it to a Gippsland based cause close to our hearts.
This week we wrote to Big Sky Sanctuary Inc. here in Strzelecki, Gippsland - an incredible volunteer run, largely self funded sanctuary for animals. ( facebook.com/bigskysanctuaryinc/ )
The idea - to donate 'Heather's House' in her tribute to Meleah's mum (a devoted lover of animals), at no cost for the house, a 3 bedroom all inclusive home very much loved by the Smedley family over the years.
The challenge - We've done the initial building assessment and asbestos check is all clear on the cladding. The house is in good condition and ready to go.
We have contacted various relocation services and found Pugh House Relocations. Matt, the owner of this business, has given us great guidance already, and has given us an estimate of approximately $35,000 - $45,000 to relocate and re-stump the house at it's new home on the Big Sky Farm. After discussing what we are hoping to do, he is on board to keep those costs as close to $35K as possible, including all the permits and preparation.
And this is where we need your help.
We are happy to give our home freely. But to get it there and established, costs money, and this will only be possible with help. Every dollar we can raise will support the incredible work done by Big Sky Sanctuary. Mel, Penny and our dear friend Naty do simply incredible things in giving a home and a life to these animals, and everything they do is voluntary, largely out of their own pockets as it is.
So we are asking for your help. We have until Mid January to try to help them raise the deposit, to support an application for finance, or to self fund this new asset for this incredible sanctuary. Whether it's $1 or $100, every cent is appreciated and will go to an incredible cause.
