Help Us Secure Mumun's Future
Donation protected
Hello all, This is Mumun, my girlfriend Ghita's almost 2 year old pet cat. Mumun lives in Indonesia, hopefully just for now with Ghita.
In April this year Ghita will be moving to Australia to live with me. Not a cheap exercise. our problem is that with everything we have to pay for with the move we can't afford to bring Mumun with Ghita.
Australia's quarantine laws are very strict and we have no problem with that, the laws are there to protect us.
Leaving Mumun behind was to be our only option, perhaps someone would take her and love her like Ghita does but to our surprise and dismayno oneis willing to take Mumun on and care for her like she has been so far. The problem is in Indonesia because Mumun is not purebred or pedigree she is of little value to most people there and we worry that her diet, health and wellbeing will suffer as a result.
Mumun has always been an indoors cat, seldomly outdoors. She is Ghita's baby, so to speak. The thought of having to leave her behind somewhere with a vet or worse, on the streets breaks my Ghita's heart and to hear her so upset and sometimes crying at the prospect of what may bebreaks my heart also.
I know there are a lot more worthwhile causes on Gofundme than this but we are fast running out of solutions to secure Mumun's future.
What's involved in bringing Mumun to Australia?Serology tests which have to be sent hree to the CSIRO as well as all of the other tests required to satisfy quarantine before Mumun can fly to Malasia for a short stay before flying to Australia to be quarantined before being delivered to us. To do all of this including agents fee's, flights etc is a little over $5000.
This is not something I would normally do but not knowing Mumun's fate is upsetting to me and especially Ghita. I know to some she is just a cat but to us and especially to Ghita she is family.
Any donations big or small would be greatly, greatly appreciated, so please help us secure Mumun's fate and bring her to Australia.
Thank you
