Help Vern and Mary Roberts

Vern Roberts was attacked by Africanized bees while mowing his yard, suffering more than 600 stings. He collapsed 12 times trying to escape the swarm, and was finally able to escape them with the help of his wife, Mary, who suffered more than 40 stings herself. The paramedics had to give him 2 EpiPens within 5 minutes, and he was in serious danger of dying on the way to the hospital, and while in the ER. 

Vern and Mary operate a small remodeling and custom cabinet company in Katy, Texas, and have no health insurance. We're asking for donations to assist with their medical bills and ongoing needs, as well as to assist with some living expenses until they're able to return to work.

All donations will be deposited into the Pastor's Discretionary Fund at Wallis United Methodist Church, Wallis, Texas, and used exclusively for the purposes stated. A full accounting of any funds donated will be available. Should there be excess funds donated, those will be retained in the fund for future use.

The need is urgent. Being unable to work means being unable to make money!
