CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Our construction is underway!!! With the help from Habitat for Humanity, Home Depot, BMC Building Materials, Anderson Rubbish, Aladdin Air Conditioning and Heating Inc, Signature Sings, Hansen’s Plumbing, PODS, Amantia Plastering,
JW Floor Covering and BEHR Paint we were able to lower the amount needed to complete the Post construction project to $9000.00. The money we continue to raise is needed for additional expenses, and supplies needed. Thank you from VFW Post 10049 Simi Valley !!!.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10049 Simi Valley vfwpost10049.com operates as a 501 C-19 non-profit Veterans Service organization. It is the oldest active Veterans Service organization in Simi Valley, receiving it's Charter in 1969. The VFW provides assistance to local veterans and their families with receiving their earned educational and health benefits along with other assistance. Post 10049 is very involved in the community of Simi Valley with community service and educational programs. The Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen scholarship programs are offered to local Middle and High Schools. These scholarships assist students with their educational expenses. Post 10049 supports local Boy Scout's of America programs as well as the Civil Air Patrol, Sea Scouts and Jr. ROTC cadets. The Post operates the VFW Museum of Military History at the Simi Valley Town Center. Thousands of visitors have viewed the educational and historical exhibits on display there.
The Post Service Officers assist veterans and their families in their time of need when a veteran passes on. Military honors and funeral assistance are provided at no cost to the survivors.
Post Service Officers assist visiting veterans and their families at the Post Home. The Post hosts monthly dinners for it's members and guests. The Post Canteen provides libations at very reasonable prices to it's patrons.
The Staff at VFW Post 10049 are all volunteers and contribute their time and labor to assisting the community of Simi Valley. The Post relies on income from it's Canteen and Museum operation along with private donations to support the above activities. The Post Home provides office space for the administration of VFW activities in the local community that it serves.
Currently, the Post Home is in need of a new roof and other repairs so that Post 10049 can continue it's worthy cause of assisting veterans and the community of Simi Valley. Post 10049 needs to raise approximately $50,000.00 to refurbish the building located at 4242 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. You can assist our Veterans and Post 10049 with your tax deductible contributions.
