I am Yara, 4 years old or less I am not sure from Jordan. All I know that I came to this world too early even three months earlier since I didn't complete my nine months in my mom's womb. However, God's will wanted me to be delivered that way with a cesarean surgery overnight and directly to the Neonatal ICU.And as you can imagine I was too small even smaller than the hand's palm. At once, my dad and all other surroundings thanked God that my mom didn't pass away and my twin sister and I were saved. But worries and concern were our third twin. That is to say, my dad didn't experience the normal joy that he eventually was gifted with two beautiful daughters since he didn't have a medical insurance and our journey will be too long in hospitals. But he received it as a man, actually he didn't leave a stone unturned. He fought to afford the fees of two months stay at the prematurely born babys. Eventually we passed the critical situation and we were discharged.
Now we are at our house, and for the first time we were seen by our relatives, you can say that we are at last normal and big enough to be seen!
But the consequences of our rushing to the world did not yet finish, and our suffering as a family is about to begin! First, our eyes me and my twin sister were severely affected by the oxygen machine in the neonatal ICU and an immediate surgery is required. Dad was there for us, and he always be! So that, we were hospitalized again, regardless of my dad's sriken poverty! He manged to found the fees in an eys specialty hospital. Consequently, we can see the world normally now. Despite of some obliqueness in my eyes.
Our first months in my sister's life and mine was not easy since we need special care and special requirements which are too expensive and to some extent unaffordable! But my dad will never frustrate us, he spared no efforts or money to make our lives perfect.
Few months later, my sister started her first steps on the ground and now she is on her foot while I am laying down watching and wondering what's wrong? Isn't it my right to follow her, to play with her, I actually were with her attentively but on my bed. I Can't walk that is the truth due to my muscles weakness and spasticity and some cerebral palsy . However I was walking and even running at my dad's imagination and dreams!
Please daddy let your dreams come true, I am lagging behind!
Waiting for four years now has made us impatiently looking for a radical solution, and we found a glimmer of hope! A surgery to be done at St. Louis children's hospital at the state of Missouri with 70000$ cost! What a number! It is an amount which we can't afford in a million years! But daddy will make the mission impossible possible and he launched a fund raise. The dream is a step far if we can step it. And we will hopefully make it as far as human beings' hearts still beating!
My family tried against all the odds to help but without this money it won't happen. My country Jordan is poor and we don't have such specialized medical centers to do such a surgery. I need to catch up living my childhood as any other normal child walking and playing.
That was my heartening story told, to start your response bold!
