Get us to Washington D.C.!
Get us to National History Day in Washington D.C.!
We are from the Antigua International School in Guatemala , and last week, we won the regional National History Day competition in Guatemala City where we qualified for the international competition in Washington D.C. 500,000 students competed from all over the world for this opportunity.
11 of us have qualified to go to Washington D.C. and represent Guatemala! There, we will compete against nearly 3,000 students!
For all of us, this is truly a life-changing opportunity. To say we are excited would be an understatement! Unfortunately, the costs are on us and our families, and traveling to the U.S. is never easy, or cheap. If we are unable to go, we will not be able to represent our country.
So please, we ask you to help us raise $1,000 for each student and our teacher, or a total of $12,000. Your generous gift will support our travel and lodging expenses. But more importantly, your donations are supporting our hard work and determination, and helping us achieve our dreams.
Any and all donations will be incredibly appreciated! We hope to make you proud!
Sincerely,
AIS Historians-in-the-making
