I am a professional dancer who has danced on Broadway and was a top 6 finalist on TV's So You Think You Can Dance. My husband and I used to tour the world together sharing our love of dance, but in September 2016 my life changed drastically overnight. As many of you know from following me on social media, after a failed hip surgery, my body launched into wide-spread chronic pain and a multitude of health issues that not only took away my dance career, but altered my ability to function in every-day life. My hope is to someday have more children or to just be able to play with my 5-year-old daughter like I used to. Over the last three years we have spent nearly everything we have trying to get me out of pain and back to a normal life. Now, after hundreds of failed treatments, we have found a surgeon that believes he can restore my health and my life.
Unfortunately, because of the complexities of my hip, he is one of the only surgeons in the country who does the procedures necessary to fix it, but he is outside our insurance network. The surgery will cost as much as $80,000, not including the post-op rehabilitation. We have exhausted our financial resources, so it is with great humility that we are asking our wonderful friends and family to help me get my life back!
The surgeon said if my hip continues to deteriorate, I won't be a candidate for it much longer. With the surgery scheduled for June 20th, we only have a few more days to raise the funds. We thank you in advance for ANY amount you can donate as it will go a long way to helping us. We are beyond grateful! Thank you!
