Help Baarlo the Therapy Dog
Donation protected
I sadly found out that my dog, Baarlo, a 3 year old Keeshond, has lymphoma (cancer). He will need a series of treatments and medicines. He is going to get his treatments at The Ohio State University Vet Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Baarlo has been a therapy dog for two years now. He took and passed his test at one year old and has been bringing joy to terminally ill patients in hospice, behaviorally challenged children and stressed college students during finals, in addition to other events - like BuckeyeThon at The Ohio State University that raises funds for children with cancer. He brings such joy to others and I would be devastated to lose him and see that cut short.
I won't put him through any treatments that would not have the hope of a promising outcome for him. I will not keep him alive without a promise of quality of life. I want him to have a good recovery and a happy life if that is at all possible.
I will use what limited funds I have - but know that I won't be able to afford a lot of the treatments and tests he will likely need. I also know that time will surely be of the essence. I would not use one penny for anything other than his care. If there is any extra money I would donate it to The Ohio State University Vet Hospital. They do such wonderful work for animals and I think it would be the appropriate place for any remaining funds to go.
If you can find it in your heart to give as much as you are able to help Baarlo in his fight to survive this I will be eternally grateful and so will all the people he would be able to continue to visit and bring joy to, I'm sure.
