Help Dan beat Cancer

Donation protected

Imagine, you're 30 years old, with a dream to be a lawyer, you have put yourself through Law School. You have so many hard earned letters after your name it's crazy. You move to LA to pursue your dream and hunt down a job.

You have a neck pain, go see a Doctor and they tell you that you have Non-Hodgkin Lmmphoma, and that this cancer is such an aggressive strain, they don't think you had it three weeks ago...   You have tumors in your heart and lungs and up you neck.

How would you feel...?

Hey all, many of you know my friend  Dan Goldberg as the eager, helpful young chap around the Castle, an amateur magician working hard to make a new life for himself here in the US.

He's just 30 years old and a month ago was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.  At 30 years old.

To say the treatment is taking a toll on him and his career dreams is an understatement.  The cancer is a aggressive and moving fast.

Even with insurance he is still incurring costs that are causing great stress, and as you know that just feeds the sickness.

Treatment starts with six rounds of intensive chemotherapy,  each of which requires him to be an inpatient at a hospital for 5 days. He has been fighting with his insurance company to have them cover the treatment, literally since his  diagnosis and often in the middle of treatment.

It's next to impossible for him to make any kind of a living.

As his friend I can't sit here and watch the man suffer, so I've put together this little go fund me to ask for help for Dan.

Anything would be of help, as little as $5 and much as... well you know cancer treatment charges, they're astronomical.  Then there's rent (he could be evicted soon)  food, transport, medical, it all adds up.  And it's all needed as soon as ossible.  .  I have set a goal of $30,000, although I'm sure the bills will far exceed that.

The type of cancer Dan has is called “Double Hit” Lymphoma, which is a very rare subtype of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma – which is already super aggressive.

He is at Cedars Sinai because that is one of the few places in the world that has the required expertise on the double hit lymphoma .

So if you could all do me a huge favor and help my friend Dan, I would be most grateful, and I know he would be too.

Cancer can strike at any time and at any age, having friends who can help in an emergency is a wonderful thing. We can do this xxx

Thank you in advance.
