Helping those impacted in Nicaragua

Donation protected
To anyone and everyone,

In April I first began seeing videos of heinous crimes and violations being committed by the Nicaraguan government. Worried, I messaged friends there sending all my love and concern whilst also wishing them safety. Yesterday, my friend messaged me saying she feared for her life. It is now beyond me not to try and help the country and residents that welcomed me with such love and compassion. All I ask is that you help me raise awareness on the issue and if you are fortunate enough to be able to, donate anything you can.

Unable to describe a situation I could never begin to imagine, my friend has written a message from the heart for everyone to see...
"Hi my name is Sandra and I live in Nicaragua, where since April 19th a civil revolution has taken place to free our nation from the genocide government. We went out to the streets with flags in our hands demanding the resignation of president Daniel Ortega and Vice president Rosario Murillo and they (the government) respond with bullets, we have no weapons.
My city, Masaya, has been destroyed, there's nothing left, no food, no medicine, no banks and public hospital care is being denied to our wounded, we're in no man's land, the government is using paid paramilitaries, the police, riot police and the army to suppress us. The government sends paramilitaries to loot what little remains of commerce. At the moment of writing this message, more than 150 people have been executed by the government. We are entrenched and we defend ourselves with rocks and artisan weapons while they have high calibre guns like AK47s and Dragunov Sniper Rifles.
I ask for help regardless of the amount, everything is welcomed, you could help by spreading the word of what's going on in my country. We have a humanitarian crisis here and I don't want to run from bullets, Nicaragua bleeds, we want the government to cease fire, we want their resignation.

A hug from Nicaragua, the heart of Central America."

Masaya is just one of the many places impacted.

I am going to try to help as much as I possibly can and it would mean the world to me if my friends and family could help too. My time spent volunteering in Nicaragua was a time I'll never forget, the communities there taught me what it really meant to have nothing yet to give so much life and love back. For that I owe them more than I can say.

All money donated will be spent on providing medicine, food and other aid to those who need it. I will post a break down of exactly where the money has gone as well as photos so that you can see directly the help you are providing. If you are able to help in any other way or have suggestions on what we can do to help than please please message me!

Over the next few weeks I will try to gather more information on the issue to keep the page updated and to give more of an insight into what is going on.

An article Sandra sent over to me which describes the current situation in Masaya in greater detail:
