Today we are reaching out for help for a beloved member of our Family Chad Matthew Huck; a great father, husband, son, brother, and friend to many, who has had an unfortunate and unexpected life
threatening health issue that almost took his life and is now an everyday battle.

For those of you that do not know on the afternoon of December 29, 2012 approximately 4 pm Chad was taken to Urgency Room in Liberty after battling terrible chest pain and trouble breathing
throughout the Christmas holiday. When he was admitted to the Urgency Room they immediately knew something was terribly wrong and they were not suited to give him the care or treatment needed for this special case. Chad then was rushed by ambulance to Liberty trauma center where they discover he had full pneumonia of both lungs and that only 20% of his heart was working at that time, with many other significant health issues that were life threatening. The Doctors say that they have only seen a few cases this bad, especially only being 28 years old and to prepare ourselves that Chad may not fully recover from this and the odds were against him for survival at the time.

Since then it has been a battle to stay alive with many ups and downs, He was sedated and dependent on mechanical ventilator for two in a half weeks before he even knew what was happening, but with the help of prayers and strength from his family; Wife Jamie and two daughters Natalie age 5 and Nicole age 3, parents Kymn and Sherri Huck, mother Shannon, two brothers Dustin and George with other family and friends by his side, by week 4 he had become somewhat stable and moved to a long care treatment center for recovery.

Recently thrown back to square one with a collapsed lung on Jan 23, 2013 at 9am, where then he was rushed by ambulance to North Kansas City Emergency room with life threatening conditions. Now Chad is once again fighting for survival in ICU. He is a High-Dependency patient including having to be now fed threw a feeding tube currently placed threw the abdomen into the stomach for long term nutrition and the placement of a tracheotomy in his throat. This tube allows Chad to breathe through the help of mechanical ventilation, but also makes him unable to communicate without struggle and pain. The doctors say his body at this time is too weak for the procedure to correct his collapsed lung and is now waiting for one more of the many procedures that still lay ahead of him. They are unsure of how long the recovery process will be and it is difficult at this time to know exactly what the future holds for him. Chad is a very strong willed man and fighting the battle of his life with all he has; keeping his hope that soon he will be able to return to his family but most of all to his two little girls.

There is no question this will be a very long and difficult journey for Chad, involving serious and significant rehabilitation. It is an unfortunate situation that at the time this accrued Chad did not have
health insurance and the medical bills along with the everyday financial responsibility has been piling up. Chad supported his family by working alongside his father in the family business and recently his wife Jamie has lost her job do to the time required to support her husband and their two girls. At this time we ask for any financial help you are able to give or if anything prayers for Chad and his family through these terrible times. Thank you for taking the time to read this and anything you can do to help is highly appreciated. We are so thankful for all our family and friends that have shown support for Chad. Anything you can send to help this family we love will help financially and emotionally. Get well Cards, Financial Support  (whatever you can give), meals, Gift cards, etc. Anything will Help
