Help Malak Get a New Kidney
My name is Kaher Asad and I live in Cleveland, Ohio. This is my first time trying to help someone in need and I can not do it by myself, I need your help and the help of Gofundme to help save Malak, a family members life. Recently, my sister in law reached out to me asking for help. She had told me her 14 year old niece is suffering from end stage renal disease (ESRD) and would need a kidney transplant to live. Her name is Malak Taha and she's been fighting chronic kidney failure most her life. She lives in a small village not far from Bethlehem. Her parents are low income as is the majority in that area. She is currently receiving dialysis 3 times per week which in itself has exhausted most of her family's savings.
Where Malak lives, there is no medicaid and little financial assistance. Malak's father, Abed and mother, Mahera have spent most of their savings to care for her. They have also sold much of their personal belongings to raise money for her treatments. She has been trying to get a kidney transplant over the last few years with no success. The silver lining is that a team of doctors in Istanbul, Turkey have agreed to help her find a donor match and perform the transplant. With that said, they are requesting $60,000 in total medical costs. We are also asking for an additional $5,000 for airfare and hotel for her family while in Turkey. I plan on directly wiring all donations to her charity account which her parents have setup. I am kindly requesting for anyone who can help to please do so.
The funds will be used to pay for Malak Taha's much needed life saving kidney transplant surgery: information and documents will be provided to gofundme
The funds will be directly wired through gofundme to a secondary beneficiary : The Malak Taha Charity Fund Bank Account to help Malak Taha pay for her much needed life saving kidney transplant: bank account information will be provided to gofundme.
Open your hearts and please help Malak live for decades more to come. The sooner she can perform the transplant, the better. I thank you all for your time and donations. May God bless Malak and all those who help her get her new kidney!
