Susie Loucks Fire Recovery Fund

Susie Loucks (Elaine Closure) has been an institution in the radio business in Houston for many years.  Currently, she's a flying photojournalist/Reporter for KHOU, KRIV, and KPRC at Helicopters, Inc.

On Wednesday,  August 3rd, Susie arrived home to find her apartment filling up with smoke.  She only had enough time to get her cats, Bushes & Oreo into a pet carrier and grab her purse while calling 911. 

The 3 alarm fire spread quickly in her building due to a common attic.  What wasn't damaged by flames has been destroyed by smoke and water.  She basically has nothing but the clothes on her back and her kitties.

Thank goodness she has insurance, but the adjuster has already told her it's not enough.

She has a temporary place to stay and her landlord will have a more permanent place available in a week or so.

This incredible woman has been my best friend for 25+ years. She needs us right now. Whatever you can give, I know she will appreciate it.
