Travers Brothership Accident Relief
Donation protected
On July 10th my band, Travers Brothership, had an automobile accident on I-81 South heading home to Asheville and Black Mountain, NC after a weekend of shows. My twin brother and member of the band, Eric Travers, suffered a seizure behind the wheel resulting in the crash. Eric does suffer from epilepsy but was cleared to drive by his doctors, and had a license at the time of the accident.
Our van and trailer flipped and were totaled in the crash but given the circumstances, will not be covered by our car insurance. Luckily, we all got away with our lives, and no-one suffered any life threatening injuries. I was admitted to the hospital with injuries the day of the accident.
The result of this accident is a lot of financial complications. I have medical expenses. We have to pay the remainder of our current bank loan on our totaled van ($9,700) then purchase a new van and trailer to continue touring. A good portion of our equipment that we have worked very hard to acquire throughout years of hard work was either damaged or rendered useless in the accident as well.
We need to raise at least $25,000 to repair everything, cover medical expenses, get a trailer, and make a down payment on a new van in order to get us back to where we were before this unfortunate incident.
The destruction and costs of the crash are major setbacks but we remain optimistic and are determined to continue touring and making music. Anything you can contribute to this fundraiser will be much appreciated, and will make it easier for us to get back on our feet and down the road to the next show.
We love you all and thank you for your help at this time when we need it the most. - Travers Brothership
