The backstory, updated 1/12/05:

8 months ago, I said I was doing the hardest thing by asking for help getting my meds. I was wrong; the hardest thing is having to ask again. Meds that cost under $200/month just 4 years ago now cost over $400. The pharmaceutical industry's greed has my proverbial b+++s in a vice, and here's why.

I learned the hard way that my medications are "lifetimers" and that I can't just go off them if I need to. In mid-October 2024, after not having the funds to refill them and was off of them for several weeks, I had a stroke. As a result I lost some of the vision in my left eye and my arms and hands aren't working as they should.

Now there's a bigger problem: 3 new prescriptions (that makes 12 now) and physical medical care that goes along following an ischemic attack. All this with no insurance and zero help from "the great" state of Texas or the famed healthcare dot gov.

I'm asking for your help again to keep the bottles full while I struggle along. I've been having difficulties getting on disability and the recent political changes make me wonder if it'll ever happen at all. But, as with all of us, we do our best to keep on keepin' on despite setbacks we all can face.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for considering helping out. May your God bless you and bring you health, happiness and peace. Wishing you all the best in 2025.
